Well here we go again... May catch up!

On the 5th of May I took Josh out for a fun filled day. We made our first stop at Cabelas to pick up some jerkey seasoning and we walked around looking at the big fish aquarium and the other stuffed animals. I have to admit, some of them are very scary looking.
We then ate lunch at a cute little cafe in the dinosaur museum. Josh had dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets~so cute! After lunch we made our way to the movie theaters and watched "Horton Hears A Who" we had the whole theater to ourselves. It was so much fun!
I made a mistake after the movie by driving up to my parents house to pick something up because Josh LOVES going to his grandparents house. No one was home so I just ran into the garage quickly to get what I needed and then we headed out. Well thats when it began, Josh cried and cried "bompa's house, bompa's house...." for an hour or more. He was so upset that I didn't let him get out and stay but he didn't understand that no one was home. Needless to say, I must not do that again, he was so mad at me the rest of the day but then got over it when I let him go over to Mary Kate's house.

The 6th brought interesting activities! On a usual day I let Josh go upstairs to get Taylor up from her nap. She sleeps on the bottom bunk bed in one of our spare rooms and lately Josh will climb to the top of the other bunk bed so I decided to remove the ladder as I don't want any injuries from falling off. Not giving Josh enough credit for his 'cleverness', I moved the ladder into the closet where I didn't think he would go... my mistake! I was downstairs and heard a huge bang while on the phone with my mother-in-law. I immediately ran upstairs and found josh in the closet with the door closed. When I tried to open it... well... I couldn't. The ladder had fallen (Josh tried to move it himself) and was the perfect length to wedge right between the door and the wall. I started to panic and didn't know what to do. The door opened into the closet, the hinges were inside as well so I couldn't take those off, and Josh couldn't pick up the ladder as it was too heavy. I immediately called our neighbor over to help calm me down and help to keep josh calm as I figured out what to do. He was in there for just over an hour when I was ready to call the police for help. I decided I would give it one more try to push through the door myself before having someone come cut it down. I must have had some adrenaline running throughout me because I pushed right through that door with no problem. It did push the wooden ladder right through the wall but I am proud to say that I saved Joshua, the door, and the cops from coming to our house! You all may be wiser than me but my advice for now, don't put bunk bed ladders in the closet, put them on the top bunk or somewhere they cannot reach! :)

On the 7th we went swimming with Jess and Jack. It was a lot of fun and Josh loved playing on the playset because they didn't have the water bucket running. The water bucket scares him and he won't play when it's going.

On Saturday the 10th my parents came down to help work in our yard. They helped to clear weeks, remove rocks and level the north side of our trampoline. Josh loves working with my Dad and in these pictures you can see why. He always gets to ride on the rake or in the wheelbarrow. My dad is always including him in whatever he is doing and Joshua loves it!



Joshua is also into riding bikes at the moment. He Loves Bikes especially this little scooter. He can't quite ride it around yet by himself so he usually rides around with Steph, Sophia or myself.

The 11th was Mother's Day! Saturday night I stayed with my parents so that I could be there in the morning to speak to my brother. Aaron had to teach his Gospel Principles class so he met up with us once that was over. We had a wonderful chat with Scott and he comes home August 7th. I can't even begin to express how excited we are. Josh and I joined my parents in their ward and strangely enough Josh fell asleep during sacrament meeting. I can't tell you the last time he did that, it was probably because it was at 1:00 during his nap time. The speakers did an excellent job and then they gave us lovely c.d.'s for mother's day. I felt so spoiled on mother's day as I got a c.d., chocolate bar from our home ward with a lovely message on it, Aaron helped Josh make me a cute mother's day card with pictures on it, and my mom gave me a willow tree figurine.
For the evening activity we headed up to my grandma and grandpa's house for a gathering with family and for yummy dessert.
Even though it's a month past now I just have to express my feelings about being a mother and having such a wonderful mother myself. I love my mom so much and I feel that our relationship has grown tremendously since I became a mother myself 2 1/2 years ago. I since then have learned so much and appreciate and respect everything my mom did for us. Being the mother to Joshua is the biggest blessing ever, with his cute smile and laughter it always eases any frustration I have. I am so greatful for the oportunity to stay at home with him each and every day!

Yardwork and School!

Over the last couple of weeks we have been working hard in the yard :) Aaron and I have been spending an hour every morning working outside getting the back prepared for sprinklers and grass. Its hard work but it is coming along. I was also very excited to see all my tulips and daffodils bloom. Now my lillies and iris's are coming up. As crazy as it sounds I love yardwork!













Along with the yardwork and the many other things we are doing, I think I failed to mention that I have enrolled back into school. Yep I am a student again and I am studying to get my professional photographer license. So far it has been so much fun and I have passed my first two exams. The classes are getting a lot harder now and I will need to find more time to study. It will be awsome when I graduate! Yay!

So much happening leaving so little time...

Yet again, I am behind with all the fun details of our busy lives. We had been doing a lot of fun things these last few weeks and have so much more to look forward to. I will be posting things about our last couple weeks over the next two or three days.

April 30th - My dad called me last minute saying that he had 4 VIP tickets to the Real game. I instantly called Aaron at work and he was able to leave work a little early so we could make it to at least half of the game. We had to stop by my parents house to pick up the tickets and Josh cried and cried because he wanted to stay at "bompa's" house instead of going with us to a game. So we left him with his grandparents and took Packer with us. When we got there we had no idea what 'VIP' meant when they lead us to an elevator. Little did we know we had a box with catered food from Famous Daves. Yummy! We had so much fun and enjoyed the 'suite' as it was snowing that day. Burrrr...

May 3rd- Once again the wonderful suxo family got the three of us tickets to go see LA Galaxy play Real Salt Lake. Yes... we saw David Beckham. Its was such a fun game and the score ended up 2-2 with beckham scoring both their teams points. Josh had such a fun time watching all the crazy fans. I think he was a bit awe struck at how loud it was and how many people were around. Reaching the end of a eventful month...

Well here we go again, i've left the updates a bit to long...
We have had a lot going on this month and it is now just slowing down a bit before it starts up full steam again. We made it to and from St. George and Las Vegas in one piece, and had a great time staying at my cousin's house with him and his wife. We went to the outlets and finally got those shoes that Aaron needs (he has severe pronation that requires special shoes) and then went to the Olive Garden for dinner with some of my family. It was so nice to relax and go have a nice meal. We had a great time staying with my cousin and found ourselves staying up really late just chatting away. It was so nice to catch up. They live directly across the street from the St. George temple and through the big windows in their front room you look directly at the temple. It is so beautiful and a constant reminder of how we should be living our daily lives. The wedding was on saturday and it went really well. We woke up at 5am and made our way to Vegas and didn't get back to St. George until 11pm that night. We were extremely tired but Aaron enjoyed listening to the Jazz game while he drove back. Our 4th Anniversary was on the 27th and to celebrate we went to Boondocks on friday and rode the go-karts around and then had dinner at Red Robbin. Mmmm It was so good and we sat next to a lovely couple who we had a nice chat with. They were so cute and had been married for 37 years so they had some great advice :)

On Saturday we spent the day out with Joshua. After Aaron got off work we took him shopping and let him pick out a new train. Of course... he chose 'Gordon' his favorite at the moment along with Percy. We walked quite a lot that day and he was such a trooper running right along side us. We then went and got our favorite treat... Papa Murphys Pizza. Ooo we love it! It was so nice to have a little outing with just the three of us.

Sunday was a glorious day, it was our Anniversary. We celebrated by going to church and I taught my lesson in Young Womens. I had a wonderful time preparing this lesson and learned so much about the Priesthood. After church Josh and Aaron took a nice long nap while I relaxed, read a book and made dinner. Mark, Carol, Alice, Marcus and Nichole then joined us for a big Roast dinner. The best I think i've made! Afterwards the Suxo family came over and then Jess and Ben called needing somewhere to stay as the water pipes in their apartment burst and they had no water. So needless to say we had 17 people in our house. I made delicious homemade chocolate ice cream and chocolate chip cookies. It was amazing how it was all gone within a matter of minutes. We had a lot of fun though and it was so wonderful to be surrounded by friends and family on our anniversary.

Oh and I failed to mention that Aaron got the new Mario Cart for the Wii with 4 steering wheels for our Anniversary :) It is so much fun and the cool thing about it is that you get to play people from around the world. I'll tell you though, those Japanese players are tough to play. They are way to good for me :)

The last two are from before we went to Vegas, Josh went with me to get the tires rotated on our car and while we waited I took him to lunch. We went to the Toaster Oven and shared a slice of pizza and a delicious sandwich. I love doing things like this...
