Ordinary Day with a Spectacular ending

After a busy day Wednesday hiking around Cape Schanck Lighthouse we had a more relaxing day at home Thursday.
Becca likes to cuddle her teddy bears and watch cartoons. By 9:30am Becca and Josh were already exhausted and fell asleep playing a game on my bed.

Rebecca took her first official steps, it was incredible. We were all so thrilled as she has showed zero ounce of interest for it until now.  It's fun to watch the kids squeal in excitement for her.

She is our latest walker at nearly 16 months old. Rebecca is very stubborn though and although she took many steps on her own yesterday she shows no interest in it whatsoever today.

It was a humid and cloudy day but yet so calming with a few thunderstorms passing overhead. Aaron arrived home just after 5:00. We decided last minute to get dinner at Thai Rose in Chelsea and let the kids play at the park on the beach. I absolutely LOVE these type of last minute plans.

This is where I captured Becca taking some steps on her own.

Have I mentioned how incredibly delicious Thai Rose is? Seriously, we all couldn't get enough, at one point the kids were fighting over who got to eat more. Fresh spring rolls, green curry and a Pad Ped dish with coconut rice.. Are you drooling yet? ;)

From the park we could see the sun setting off in the distance. The clouds were clearing out just in time for a beautiful show.

Joseph is our beach lover, he will miss Australia terribly when we leave. We walked down to the beach and took a seat in the sand. Immediately Joseph tore off his socks and shoes and slipped his feet in the sand saying "AH, it feels SOoooo good".  Straight after that he stripped down to his undies claiming it was ok because the guy next to us was in his budgie smuggler 'speedo'. I couldn't argue him.

It wasn't long before the kids were in the water and the beautiful colors began to emerge. It continued to amaze us and got more beautiful as the minutes rolled on.  We all felt an incredible sense of love and peace.

I made this video to remember this day forever. Enjoy!
