As tradition, we started our 4th on the boat. What a perfect day for boating as the next day was followed by much needed rain.
We joined everyone out on the boat right after Josh finished his swimming lessons. It is always an exciting adventure to get out on the boat. I love and miss it so much and am grateful we have the opportunity to share it with our kids.
Swimming, tubing, lunch and even the kids all took a nap at the same time; that almost never happens.
We stayed out on the lake as long as possible before heading back to get ready for our barbecue. After everyone cleaned up we gathered for a delicious dinner and then ventured over to a nearby park that we enjoy watching the fireworks from.
We get there fairly early to get a good spot and watch the sunset. Joseph loves to wrestle anyone who is lying down. As soon as my dad hit the blanket he was on him so quick. At one point he climbed on top of another guy next to us before I could grab him, he is quick !
Everyone had new white shirts we were designing for our upcoming Lake Powell trip. The kids soaked that idea up.
Finally the after lots of waiting the fireworks began. 10:00 is a really hard time for my kids and they start to get restless and tired. The Riverton fireworks are great to watch and go for quite some time. With tired kids is almost feels too long but the show is great. Our location is also perfect as it's not too loud for the kiddos and we get out of the area quickly.
